This cemetery with 163 graves from the British period, sheltered by the temple of the tooth behind the former palace in an almost forgotten part of Kandy keeps the influences of two different worlds visible. Hopefully we meet Charles, the caretaker, who knows a story for almost every tomb stone and brings the life and death of the colonial masters closer. From the cemetery we cross to the palace area and walk to town as you use to walk those days.
